Personal Trainer

11 Years ago I left a professional corporate position as a National Account Manager for Britvic Soft Drinks. My position was responsible for driving national sales distribution for the Pepsi UK vending division of the company. My remit was primarily the education and leisure sector. I enjoyed the position and company however I needed a change. After much thought and at the age of 35 with a house and mortgage I gave back the wage, company car and security of a pension plan to go back into education to study to become a personal trainer. I decided I wanted to directly to increase the longevity of people’s life.

Once qualified I started off as an outdoor mobile PT training my clients in Tamworth castle grounds, woods, parks & quarries. I taught clients how to train in the great outdoors using everyday objects such as kerbs, benches, steps, bridges, railings & hills. Due to my age and experience of a stressful corporate life most of my clients where similar aged corporate professionals.
To this day I still train my first ever PT client.

I expanded my services and offered weekly outdoor group training on top of my one to one PT business. This started off in Tamworth and expanded to Sutton, Appleby & Birmingham. In winter I hired out multi-story car parks to train in which held secure parking and allowed me to continue to offer an ‘open air’ feel of training to the group with secure lighting.

After meeting with Andy in 2015 we decided to merge and take our training methods indoors. We formed The Fitness Junction Ltd and started training clients out of shipping containers on open land, then moved to a run down mill, onto a small industrial unit and now upgraded to the excellent facilities at Landau Forte.

Today The Fitness Junction Group Limited offers traditional and modern training methods for private gym members along with Personal Training in a fully equipped gym.
